Emergency Broadband Benefit
Yesterday, the FCC announced that households with a member approved to receive benefits under the free and reduced-price school lunch program or the school breakfast program, including through the USDA Community Eligibility Provision, in the current 2021-2022 school year are also eligible for the Emergency Broadband Benefit. This expands on the original program eligibility rules that included the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 school years.
Many students are already back in the classroom this year and broadband access is a critical tool for success. Please help build awareness about the EBB program by sharing our new back-to-school toolkit materials with your community.
